Atif is a seasoned professional with a diverse career spanning over a decade in the corporate world. He commenced his journey with Engro Foods in 2007, embarking on a seven-year tenure that showcased his versatility and leadership. Throughout his tenure at Engro Foods, Atif adeptly navigated through various roles, encompassing IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Development. His exceptional contributions were pivotal in delivering transformative business initiatives, driving operational efficiency, and fostering business growth. Some notable achievements include the establishment of the Engro Milk Automation Network, orchestrating the turnaround of the ice cream business, and piloting Pasteurized Milk and Meat Business.

In a subsequent phase of his career, Atif transitioned into the energy sector. His roles in Commercial and General Management at Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company(SECMC),Engro Energy Limited( EEL), and Engro PowerGen Qadirpur( EPQL) underscored his ability to lead, innovate, and execute complex projects. Atif was instrumental in securing a financing deal of USD 1 billion under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for an integrated coal mine and power plant project. Additionally, he negotiated mine expansion EPC agreements, coal supply contracts, fostered relationships with local community, and spearheaded vertical transition into renewable energy. His last role in Energy Vertical was Deputy CEO of EPQL.

In 2020, Atif was entrusted with a pivotal role of centralizing and transforming procurement operations. Under his stewardship, procurement processes underwent a transformation, leveraging cutting-edge S2C and P2P tools for automation. The outcomes where reduced supplier risk and heightened operational efficiency. Under Atif’s strategic guidance, CPF now adeptly manages an annual expenditure exceeding PKR 45 billion and has generated remarkable cost savings of over PKR 4 billion for the Group since its inception.

Atif serves as a member of the board of directors for Engro Enfrashare. He holds an engineering degree and a master’s degree in management from Queen Mary University of London.
